NJ legislators call for probe of insurance unicorn

New Jersey legislators called for state officials to investigate Clover Health, an insurance startup created by two owners of for-profit hospital chain CarePoint Health. After an investigation by the state into CarePoint’s finances showed its hospitals paid $150 million in management fees to companies held by CarePoint’s owners, lawmakers have called for further investigation of their business dealings.
