Make it free, states tell insurers on coronavirus charges

Washington, California and New York passed emergency measures this week requiring insurers to cover the cost of care related to testing for COVID-19. Public health officials are urging insurers to waive costs related to coronavirus testing and treatment, in hopes that sick patients won’t be deterred from seeking care.
